Banks remain closed due to national or regional holidays resulting the availability of services at the Branches. These holidays include public holidays such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti), religious festivals (Diwali, Eid, Christmas), and state-specific holidays. Banks remain closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month under the negotiable instrument act throughout India. While physical branches remain shut, online banking, mobile banking, ATMs, and digital payments are operational. Services that requires man power may be postponed and may be process on next working day by the bank.

Online Banking & UPI – Digital transactions continue to work, but server issues may occur due to high traffic during holiday Shopping.
Cheque Clearance – CTS does not process cheques during CTS holidays; hence, you may expect a delay in clearing.
Loan EMIs & Bill Payments – Schedule auto-payments in advance to avoid penalties.
NACH Debit transactional are operational during holidays hence keep account funded during holiday to avoid any penal charges.
Branch Services – Plan your bank visit accordingly for Locker operations Demand Drafts when you need to visit a branch, as they will close physical branches.
Business & Work:
Salary Processing – If payday coincides with a holiday, payment credit may be delayed.
Stock Market & Trading – Check if the stock exchanges are open, as they may also observe the holiday.
Government & Banking Deadlines: Some financial deadlines are postponed to the next working day.
